What We're About . . .
If Jesus came to Fayetteville, NC, where would he go? Would He find a church, go in and have a seat and stay put? Would He be in the midst of the flock, or would He be looking for His lost sheep? When Jesus first came to earth, from birth, He gave up His rights to be treated as a king - born in a stable, laid in a feeding trough for His bed, raised as a regular person, learning a trade as a carpenter -
He said it Himself - "the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve others, and to give His life as a ransom for many."
He calls each of us who follow Him to be lights in the darkness. (Matt.5:16) |

We're about finding those lost sheep – about being in places where people may not otherwise hear the promises of God, and the power and compassion in His Word. We're about being near people who may not ever step foot in a church, and SHOWING them the love of Jesus Christ. So many lost souls go about searching for something to fill the void that only God can fill, our aim is to let them see the love of Christ in us (Matt. 5:16), to let them hear the Word in the same manner that Christ did, and the apostles after Him (1 Cor. 9:19-23).
We believe that Jesus meant it when He left clear instructions before He ascended back to Heaven - "Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit." (Matt. 28:19) - |
|
This is many times called "The Great Commission",as Christians, much of the time we treat like what it is NOT - "The Great Suggestion". We are bound by a command from Jesus Christ Himself to spread His word to the world, and not just within the four walls of a building.
For this reason, we go where God leads us, telling what He has done for us and SHOWING people His love through us. Our battle cry - - - - -
"The Church Has Left the Building!!!" |

|
Let's make this perfectly clear - we can not change anyone, nor will we try to do so. Our part in this mission is simply to spread the Word of God, to show people the love of Christ, to allow their hearts to be softened and receptive to the Word, and to open the door when Jesus knocks. -
"I stand at the door and I knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in..." (Rev.3:20)
May God bless and open your hearts to the peace that only He can bring. |
