God loves you - He always has and He always will.
It's the same old story - people don't go to church for any number of reasons - a bad experience with religion in the past, a feeling of not being good enough, a fear of being accepted, we feel like they don't NEED God, or something as trivial as the dreaded "I don't have any church clothes!"
Jesus did not come to earth for perfect people. He came to imperfect people, and gave us hope and forgivness, and Life -
Jesus loves us! ... even when we don't love Him. He doesn't expect us to be perfect when we come to Him, He ask us to trust Him, to put our faith in Him, and He will take care of the rest.
